If there's one thing that drives me crazy during the school day - it's the endless battle to ensure that students are prepared with a working pencil.  But Mrs. H from The Wise Owl has hit upon a brilliant system to put the responsibility for pencils back into the students' hands.  Since the beginning of a new year seems like the perfect time to introduce a new routine, I'd thought I'd share this great resource with you.

Classroom Jobs & Application Freebie

Having your students perform a classroom job can be a great way to foster responsibility and create a sense of community. Here is a two page classroom jobs description sheet and an application for students to list their top five choices and qualifications. Both are left in Excel for you to customize to your needs.
