Mixed Up Multiplication Grid

This freebie is reason one million and one why I love the blogging world! Dana over at Third Grade Gridiron posted a free multiplication matrix. The twist? The factors aren't in order. My students are having trouble recalling products for the multiplication facts they've previously memorized in order. I can't wait to use this next week!

Multiplication Math Game Cards

I've been experimenting with math games during our ability-grouped math block. Unfortunately, the kids plow through the games faster than I can create them! Adrienne over at Unless Teaching has a great idea for creating math board games (hint: it's easy!!!) and she uploaded a few math cards to get you started. Click on over to grab your freebie at her blog.

Partner Math Mutipliction & Division Practice

Math and cooperative learning~ what a great duo! This activity has students solve some pretty complex multi-digit multiplication and division problems and then find their match-up partner to check their answers. Partnerships are made based on the picture at the top of the page: hamburger partners with fries, pants partners with shirt, sun with moon, etc. My students love this fun way of partnering up.
Click the image to go to the free TpT download
Although this activity is titled for third grade, older grades will definitely benefit from this. My third graders don't get into long division (that fun stuff is saved for 4th & 5th!).

Thanks to Lisa Tarman for this freebie!
