Castles Make Geometry Fun!

You can see the pictures and read all about it over on my blog. You can also grab a free table your students can use to record their information during the lesson. Don't worry if you don't have shape patterns, because I'll point you to a free website where you can grab some!

Common Core Math for Third Grade

I know this is a 3-6 blog, but this freebie exclusively for third grade was too good to leave out. Tessa from Tales from Outside the Classroom makes Common Core math packs for the primary grades. She just uploaded her third grade pack this week. While you can purchase the entire packet from her store, she has provided four pages absolutely free. I love the layout, spiral review, and Common Core connection. They are definitely worth taking a look at!

Probability Foldable Freebie

We've just begun our last Topic (Chapter) in math.  It covers probability.  This is not new, but it is a lot to remember for my fourth graders.

I created a foldable for them to use as a reference tool.  They glued these into their math notebooks and added their own notes to them, too.

Here's a picture of the foldable:

This is the inside of the foldable:

It's the end of the year as we know it...and I feel fine. {R.E.M. anyone?}
